    Challenging the commonly held idea.

    Explanation:

I will talk about the most commonly held belief about the menstruation. It is said that when girls are going through their menstruating cycle they shouldn't enter kitchen and they are also not allowed to visit temples. But I had a different thinking, I believe that nothing wrong will happen if we enter in kitchen or holy places during 'those days.'

And that's not me talking, scientific studies claim that earlier women were restricted because there wasn't any proper hygiene conditions available, secondly they were denied to visit places so that their body can have a proper rest.

When I challenged this age old belief, then nothing went according to what I thought. My mother and grandmother stared with their old held beliefs and dared me not to withhold the idea. It will take a long time to get rid of all the wrong age old beliefs.
