Let's break this down. "Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty." We know by using common knowledge and context clues that eternal means inside, or inner, and is used to describe anything happening inside the body, more commonly feelings and choices determined by heart and soul. Vigilance means constantly being cautious and careful, watching for danger. And the price of liberty can be technically called the price of freedom. Inner caution is the price of freedom. It probably makes no sense. I think personally, this means being watchful, guarding your mind, and watching for dangers in society, is the price of freedom. Always being on the lookout to keep yourself and others safe is the price of being free. Hope this made sense!
