Smoking cigarettes is an injurious habit. Which statement provides persuasive evidence to support this sentence? Despite the several health risks of smoking, cigarette smoking is an extremely widespread habit in most countries. Smoking in public places is banned in many states as it is offensive to people who don't smoke. It's my opinion that passive smoking is just as injurious-if not more so-as active smoking. A recent study shows that people who smoke have a 25 percent higher risk of getting lung cancer than those who don't.
