After agreeing to defend a black man accused of abusing a white woman, Atticus Finch is hit by most of his fellow citizens. His children, who are faced with the cruelty of the small community, where the news is spreading very fast and where collective opinion is represented are the most pitiable.

    Explanation:

McComb, Alabama, 1930s: Atticus Finch, a white lawyer, defends a black man accused of abusing a poor white girl. This novel, largely autobiographical, takes us through a world of prejudice and fear, conflict and racial segregation, lies and the struggle for the truth. Facing the misconceptions that prevail in the adult world, Atticus children learn life lessons.
