How do you think Butler confronts us with issues of differences in Kindred? How does she challenge us to consider boundaries of black/white, master/slave, husband/wife, past/present? What other differences does she convolute? Do you think such dichotomies are flexible? Artificial? Useful?

    She boosted feminist theory, sparked the struggle for the destruction of traditional gender identity roles, especially in France's protests, in defending same-sex marriage. Through many of his works, she has changed the lives of many people who have been victims of violence and oppression because of their bodies, gender or sexuality.
