Why weren't Shakespeare's plays historically accurate

    There are a couple of reasons for this.

    - First, it's difficult to transform a real historical event to give a sense of entertainment that could be shown in a play, with exciting plot-twist, interesting characters, etc. Therefore, adjustment need to be made

    - Second, Shakespeare often want to give an underlying message for the audiences of the show, which often requires him to change the context of a certain historical event
