A woman has a successful career as a psychologist and an author. Although she has high hopes of her daughter achieving a similar status, the daughter dreams of teaching English in a developing country far away.

    D shows the mother accepting the fact that her daughter has separate interests, yet finds a way to maintain their relationship by traveling closeby. C ties her daughter down, which doesn't accept differences, B is sort of like bargaining which is ... weird, and A basically says that she'll tolerate it, basically, but she isn't really as supportive as she is in answer D
