How could the opening scenes of Macbeth be changed to leave out a supernatural element

The witches in the beginning are the supernatural element. They tell Macbeth a prophecy that leads to everything after. If they change the witches to gossiping handmaids it would still work. They could be like "I heard the thane of candor is back and alive". That type of stuff
