    They should share that they have the disease as soon as possible because then there is less of a risk that it will be spread through friends and family

    An HIV positive person should share there results with their close friends and family as soon as possible. They have the right to know that you have HIV to give them appropriate time to educate themselves on the matter. Also it's better to find out from you rather than stumbling upon it themselves and being shocked which can cause other problems.
