The authors of "The Strange-Looking Man" and the Field Hospital and Flying column wrote about similar subject matter, but one wrote a short story while the other wrote about her own life experiences. How did the two authors' perspectives on wartime differ?

    Answer: One talked about the casualties of war, the other treated the casualties of war she was in the war herself.

    Explanation: The Strange-Looking Man is a story which talks about casualties of wars of a small village which had it men sent to war, with the vulnerable and handicapped left to die of hunger. But sooner some of the men sent to war also returned handicapped and were neglected to die.

    Field Hospital and Flying column author Thurstan was a member of the British Red Cross in who was a nurse in the first wold war and a leader of a group of nurses at a hospital in Charleroi, Belgium. As soon as Germany took over Belgium she was forced to leave, she later settled in Russia, where she joined the flying column, known as mobile medical unit who treated the wounded during the war.

    One talked about the casualties of war, while the other treated the casualties of war.
