Twelfth night, why do the characters in Olivia household hate malvolio?

The Olivia household is not fond of him because of his condescending attitude and his self-righteousness. He is a puritan and he wants to reform the household. He is very dutiful in a stuck-up way which is the opposite of the attitudes of the Olivia household. They are lazy and always want to have fun.
