Hello! The four types of author's purpose are:
Inform: Filled with facts, used to give information
Persuade: Used to give an opinion, and designed to persuade someone to change their opinion on something.
Entertain: Usually just a story told by the author
Express: This is the least used. It is a written work where the author writes things they are thinking.
