Tejas decided to rewrite the sentence

The crowd yelled, and they jumped up when the buzzer went off.

as

When the buzzer sounded, the cheering fans leaped to their feet in excitement.

Was Tejas correct in making the revision?

    B. When Tejas rewrote the sentence he made it more concise. The sentence is now shorter. It's meaning is understood better. The new, revised sentence has a better flow than the original sentence. In the revised sentence we can see that the crowd leap up because the buzzer sounded. In the original sentence it isn't as clear.
