In the 3rd verse of the "Star Spangled Banner", vauntingly is used to describe a band. This was used by Francis Scott Key to describe the British soldiers’ boastful and arrogant nature.

The British were bragging that the Americans could easily be defeated since they were just farmers with no military training.
