What attributes do all cylinders and all prisms have in common?

    All cylinders and prisms have a reflectional symmetry in common. For example, if you slice a cylinder (which is a type of prism) in half (through the side, not the top/bottom) then you end up with two cylinders (prisms). This is not true for a pyramid, for example.
