Dear diary,

I remember when I was just a little girl, I threw one of my slippers at an amphora out of rage. It wasn't just any amphora; it was one of my most favorite ones. The smell of the perfume in it broke out into the air as the clay shattered like glass, and fell toward the ground of its pedestal. I cried for hours as the perfume smell lingered throughout the room. Today, my guards and attendants captured Gen once again. After seeing him this time, knowing Eddis sent him, I felt but no choice but to do what I knew I had to do. I cut his hand off. I remember expecting to see him cry out in pain, but instead, I saw his eyes shut closed as his mouth twisted in pain. When I visited him later today, I felt my heart break as seeing him reminded me of that moment I broke the amphora. I saw him, today, locked in his cage, as the thought of him drifted away until thoughts of my favorite amphora left me in tears.
