What best describes the theme conveyed by the white family's heavily fortified home in Nadine Gordimer's "Once Upon a Time"?

    In this short story, Gordmier tries to paint theme of Discrimination and its effects. The White family are terrified by the situation the warning plaque gives them and therefore they give in to discriminating he "people of another color." Their discrimination is through their actions of excluding themselves from possible violence.
