To work out this problem it is necessary to have a look at the multiples of

    5 and 8.

    Multiples of 5 : 10-15-20-25-30

    Multiples of 8: 16-24-32

    The blue fabric costs $2 more than the green so : 5 yards x 6 = 30

The green fabric is $2 cheaper than the blue so: 8 yards x 4 = 32

This amounts to 62 the total of the purchase.

The blue fabric costs $6 a yard and the green costs $ 4.
