Why is it better for students just to read plays in english instead of acting them out?

Acting is a little harder than reading it because you don't have to try as hard because acting is harder you need a specific tone and you need to be very tight with the part your acting out and reading simply reading what's on the peice of paper

acting is more about the voice tone and sounding convincing if you know how to act but cant do a good voice tone than you might want to consider getting out of that class. When you put students to act they will most likely to get shy versus if they just read.
