    The Greeks were polytheistic as they had many gods who represented different things. Zeus was the king of the Gods and god of the sky, while Hera was the queen and protector of marriage. Poseidon was god the sea, Hestia goddess of the hearth and home, Demeter goddess of the harvest, Hades god of the underworld. All 6 of these were siblings! All their children were gods or demigods of different things and formed the basis for much of Greek mythology
