A little tip that I learned in my 11th grade year was:

-Head Your paper with a correct format

    Example:

    John Smith

    English 11, Period: 5

    May 8, 2018

    "Their Eyes Were Watching God"

    Zora Neale Hurston

    - Always have a thesis

-Have a hook to start out your first paragraph

-Use textual evidence and cite where you got it from

    -Explain your textual evidence

-Have a connection to close out that paragraph
