You have a dime and a dollar, you buy a dog and a collar, the dog is a dollar more than the collar, how much is the collar

    The collar is 5 cents

    The dog is 1.05

    Because the dog has to be a dollar more than the collar and you have a dollar and a dime which is 1.10

    1.05-.05 = 1
