    One would say one can not sell what he doesn't own and one doesn't take anything without being offerd to him. The laws in most countries would say that gifts are to be cherrished, not (necessarily) for sale. Yet, by the laws of modern marketing, the cite reffers to the confidence in people's ability "to value" whateven is offered to them being forever gratefull for what they managed to buy. It might be a conquerer's motivational speech or a cry for calming down the capitalism's inexorable principles
