The subject of Crusoe's first prayer is A. God's promise to deliver him.

He is stranded on an island, with no people to talk to, and with no way out. He is all alone, hungry, without a roof over his head, so he resorts to prayer. He wishes he had listened to his father and stayed home, and he asks God to bring him swift death in his first prayer.
