If you look at the title of the novel, it already gives you a hint that it's about a person who had to chance places, move from one place to another and presumably misses their home. The mixture of languages - the old and the new one - show the loneliness, as she probably can't communicate to anyone, since her sentences are unintelligible to other people - so the correct answer would be D.
