Which word set completes the following analogy?

knife : cut ::

    A knife cuts just as an axe chops.

    Although dentist and teeth are related, a dentist does not teeth, teeth is not a verb.

    Slice and strike are both verbs, so you can eliminate that.

    A hammer doesn't really nail, they are both nouns.

    So the answer is, I believe, D. chop : axe.
