Which sentence about Amy Tan's mother in "Fish Cheeks" has the most positive connotation?

On Christmas Eve I saw that my mother had outdone herself in creating a strange menu.

She was pulling black veins out of the backs of fleshy prawns.

After everyone had gone, my mother said to me, "You want to be the same as American girls on the outside."

For Christmas Eve that year, she had chosen all my favorite foods.

For Christmas Eve that year, she had chosen all my favorite foods. This sentence has the most positive connotations of the four presented. The word "strange" in the first has a critical and therefore negative connotation. The second sentence relates some disgusting ideas related to shrimp and thus a negative connotation. The third sentence is critical of the woman/girl and as such has a negative connotation. The last sentence, the answer, is because it sounds like all the things she likes will be provided for her, her "favorite foods", having a positive connotation.
