What can you infer from the following passage "just lather, that's all"?

I got on with the job of lathering his beard. My hands started trembling again. The man could not possibly realize it, and this was in my favor. But i would have preferred that he hadn't come. It was likely that many of our faction had seen him enter. And an enemy under one's roof imposes certain conditions.

A. The man is trembling because he had a medical condition

B. He's happy that Torres does not see the tremble or else he may not get as good of a tip

C. If Torres is seen in the barber's shop, the barber would be expected to kill him.

Sounds like the answer could be just C. The part where he refers to him as an enemy gives me that idea.
