    Diwali (I live in Britain but my roots lie in India but I like talking about it)

    Diwali - The festival of lights. The celebration of good over evil, light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance

    Hindus, Sikhs and Jains celebrate this major festival.

    Hindus celebrate it because it celebrates Rama's return from 14 years of exile.

    Sikhs celebrate it because it celebrates the release of the 6th Guru, Guru Hargobind and his 52 princes from jail from the Muslim emperor who wanted everyone to be Muslim.

    We set off fireworks.

    Spring clean the home

    Wear new clothes

    Exchange gifts

    Decorating building with fancy lights
