What is the name of the literary concept in which the formation of the word is associated with it's sound?

    Onomatopoeia - words that associate with sounds ... (example: bang, clap, boom, honk ...)

    A simile uses Like and As. (As fast as an eagle)

    A metaphor is nearly a normal word. (knuckle under)

    An onomatopoeia uses sound to describe something. We have read alot of stories that contains em'. (Bam, Whoosh, Pitter-Patter, bang, splash)

    The answer is onomatopoeia.
