What do you think research problems are more likely to be derived from circumstances that convey a sense of difficulty?

Difficulty frequently breeds increased focus via either increased pressure or one's drive to solve a difficult problem. Research, especially in cutting-edge, pioneering fields, are always attempting to answer difficult problems, and are typically populated by driven individuals. All this is fertile ground for research problems.
