Parris says, "you cannot hang this sort. there is danger for me." what "sort" does he mean, and what is the danger to him?

    I do not know where the passage was taken from, or the context, but I believe Parris is implying that if so and so hangs this "sort" or group of people that someone will punish him for his act. He is likely afraid of the punishment that he will be given if he "hangs this sort" I believe by "sort" he means group of people.
