The correct answer for the question that is being presented above is this one: "Sedate means to be calm." In a different setting, if a doctor sedates you it means you've been administered a tranquilizing drug. Sedation is done in order to do operation, most especially i surgeries smoothly and rapidly. I n day-to-day life it means composed, quiet, and serene.
