    Explanation:

    It is the act of convincing others. You give them some sort of argument or some sort of impassioned plea or some sort of documented evidence and if the person is not a total brick, he or she might listen. If he or she does he has been convinced.

    If he or she does not respond then that is fine. Persuasion does not mean forcing someone to believe. Or keep on nattering until that person gives up just to get rid of you.

    All of the other answers resemble B where there is some sort of force involved or a resolution by not giving up.
