APA style is commonly used for term papers, essays, and scientific papers. It uses an in-text citation with a reference list accompanying it. This means that the writer needs to cite the author and year of the work by putting them both in parentheses (separated by a comma) and for the references list the writer needs to follow the pattern author, date, title, source.

This general format gets minority modified depending on the source, for example, for journal articles, the template is Author, A., & Author, B. (year). Title of the article. Journal Title, Volume, page range. DOI

For books, the title of the book, publisher location, and name are adapted to the format and for websites, you add the retrieved date and URL.

I hope you find this information useful and interesting, good luck!
