The word conspicuous comes from the Latin words "con-" and "-spicire" meaning to look at. And became the word "conspicere" meaning to look at attentively. Then to a Latin word "conspicuus" meaning striking or visible. Therefore, the meaning of conspicuous is to stand out, to be visible or in short, attractive.
