In John Donne's A Valediction: A Forbidding Mourning, the narrator makes a distinction between physical and spiritual love by not focusing only in the physical side but by describing the essence of the love they share. The final assertion is that greatness and freedom define genuine love. Distance cannot take it down, since genuine love is not disintegrated by the thought of being separated.
