    Defining words.

Roots words are usually the part of the words that forms the new words. If we remove prefixes of suffixes from any word, what remains will be the root word.

Corpulent, Dormancy, and Regenerate all these words comes from the Latin word Corpus, Dormire, and regenerate respectively. If we remove the suffix 'erate' from the word 'regenerate' we will get the root word 'gen.'

Corpulent means the one who is overweight.

Dormancy means to sleep, the state of rest.

Regenerate means to grow or create again.
