The differences are with whom the speaker of the poem is speaking and the views on struggles during life.

    Explanation:

"Mother to Son" shows someone that life was a constant struggle. We can see that the speaker, a mother, says that life for her was a crystal staircase, but a difficult climb, full of struggles and that has no end, since she says she is still climbing. In addition, the speaker of the poem, the mother is reporting this to her son.

In "From the Dark Tower," on the other hand, we are introduced to a speaker who is speaking directly to the reader and states that life is not a constant and endless struggle, because one day our crying will be over and we will reap everything we plant and we fight to get it.
