In Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, Steinbeck wrote about how dreams can make people blind of reality. An example of this is Lennie and his dream to have a big famr and take care of the rabbits. His dream makes him blind to see what reality is because he is so set on his dream of having a big farm that he is ignorant of his surroundings. He is always too busy daydreaming to realize what is really going on around him.
