Read these sentences from "The Cask of Amontillado." I had scarcely laid the first tier of the masonry when I discovered that the intoxication of Fortunato had in a great measure worn off.     C by foreshadowing what will happen to montresor i would choose this bc it shows he is really bad and hes in great self conflict and even though he tries staying strong he has self conflict by accecpting his death and he knows there is no hope for whatever it is hes going through
