The boys left the Dingo early in the night before the drive in because of the fight that ensued between a big twenty-three-year-old greaser and a Mexican hitchhiker. As a result, the switchblades came out which will lead to the arrival of the cops. Therefore, they didn't want to be there during the fuzz.
