If you still believe that dogs are most smarter than chicken, it's probably because dogs are good at learning the things we want them to learn: fetching the newspaper, for example. Which is the best inference one can make?

Dogs are good at learning.

Chicken are obviously smarter than dogs.

We think dogs are smart because they learn tricks that we want them to perform.

Humans have learned nothing about animal intelligence.
