when listening to the introduction of a speech you should listen carefully and try to pay attention to the performance level, if your are judging a speech then that what you need to judge it for. Also, really comprehend and give your undivided attention to the person, speaking; sometimes it's hard to get up and give a speech in front of everyone. That person cold be very shy and this presentation could be miles away from their comfort zone, and you never know. Lastly NEVER criticize someone for their presentation. Always compliment them on whatever they did well, because it wasn't you up there and you wouldn't someone criticizing you. If you think they could have improved then a little later talk to them in a calm, and kind manner and say that maybe you should look into the crowd more, or smile, but don't be rude about it.
