Three differences between Shakespeare's world and ours is that the opportunities available to women, and people of colour are not as common in his stories. In his world, the only form of entertainment was live performance, as opposed to ours, where we have recordings. One similarity is our delighting in mischief and mystery - - we, as humans, are still the same, and care for our families, our finances, and our interests because while the situations and contexts of Shakespeare's time are gone, our humanity is the same.
