Denotative meaning of a word is its definition, or its actual meaning. It is what you find in a dictionary when you look a word up.

Connotative meaning is subjective - it is your personal feelings and emotions you feel when you hear a certain word or think about it.

Denotative is the dictionary version of the word almost, while connotative is like the meanings of it
