Why are odysseus and his men interested in the cyclops cave?

    Odysseus and his men are there because they are curious about the cyclops. Unfortunately, they get stuck in his cave and some of them get eaten. That is until Odysseus gets him drunk and shoves a burning stick into his eye. Then the men hide under the sheep and escape.
