    Money is not a factor that goes between goals. It can be a goal to pay off debt, but that is not what defines the goal as long or short term. Long term goals are something you will constantly work on and will have more effect on you and your life, so it will require more planning and thought. Long term goals might be dropped easier than short term goals since it takes longer and poeple give up, but once again, that does not define the goal.
