How can the underlined sentence in the passage be revised so that it fits the tone of the passage? A) She was excited to find a bouquet of black roses on the kitchen counter. B) She was terrified to find a bouquet of black roses on the kitchen counter. C) She was heartbroken to find a bouquet of black roses on the kitchen counter. D) She was uncomfortable to find a bouquet of black roses on the kitchen counter.

    The answer is definitely not A, black would more so be associated with negativity.

    B, C, and D can all be the answer. However, if I were to pick one I would say that the best is B.

    Words I think of with the color black is death, mystery, ... therefore why I believe that B is the answer.

    It really depends on how one views it though.
