Odysseus was a player of the lyre (I cannot look back in my book or I might time out, so sorry if this is a little wrong.) and nymphs and dryads would come and listen when he played. One day, he married and went on a honey moon. But unfortunately, she got bitten by a snake and died. Odysseus was so sad. He wanted her back so bad, he went to Hades's palace (or otherwise known as the Underworld) to try to woo the king of the underworld. He succeeded in getting back his wife, but Hades gave him a warning not to look back at his wife until she came into the light. Odysseus did walk back to the above world, wondering if his wife was really behind. But he heeded Hades's advice and didn't look back until he was in the light. But when he looked back at his wife, she was only half into the light, meaning that she had to go back to the underworld. For good this time. And with a noise like a sigh, she faded. Odysseus tried to get back into the underworld, but the entrance had sealed itself. From that day, he played only sad songs. Until one day, he was drowned by a couple of dryads. The End.
